Q: Why using natural instead of synthetic ingredients in cosmetics?

A: Today people are aware of healthy living, eating, keeping fit, looking after oneself. Indeed, 38.1% of the population feels that natural products are important in maintaining health and consequently 11.7% has increased usage of natural products over the past years. The trend has changed to natural cosmetics not only as marketing tool but because their active ingredients are as effective as the synthetic ones. As the market growth of natural product varies from 8 to 25% this represent a real opportunity for the cosmetic industry.

Q: During the production process, when should I add the herbal extract into the cream or lotion?

A: We recommend that you add a plant extract after the emulsion occurred at a temperature below 50 ºC in order to prevent the degradation of the active ingredient.

Q: Is there a mean of adding an extract into a cream or lotion without controlling the temperature?

A: Yes, there is now an alternative to help customer save time, energy and money in producing emulsion. Our new emulsifier, called SNP-EMULBASE, allows adding plant extracts in cream and lotion without using heat-what we call "cold process". Moreover it is suitable for all kind of extracts.

Q: I am interested in making anti-lice shampoo for dog. What extract would you recommend?

A: We have stemona extract having anti-lice properties. At a recommended concentration of 3-10% w/w this extract can be used in shampoo, conditioner as well as hair tonic. It is a safe product, which has been proven to have no side effects on both humans and pets.

Q: I am interested in a oral care product such as toothpaste or mouth was spray. Could you please recommend an extract has antibacterial and bad breath suppression properties?

A: SNP has recently developed Guava extract, which both kills bacteria and prevents bad breath. This herbal extract has no side effects, hence is suitable for all oral application products.
